My process covers initial layouts and 3D digital models through to construction drawings and planting plans. Once a design has been finalised and agreed, I can help you bring this from paper to reality. I will assist you in finding and appointing a premium landscape contractor, providing all the necessary drawings and paperwork and organising regular site monitoring visits. Representing your best interests, I will remain available to yourself and your contractor during the entire construction phase to help ensure a smooth running of the project.
Plants and planting
The next exciting stage of your garden transformation will be the planting. Working to the agreed planting plan, I will source high-quality plants from established suppliers here in the West Country. I will then take charge of carefully positioning and planting all trees and shrubs into the correctly prepared beds and borders. This ensures that your garden is planted up by experienced horticulturalists, with follow-up care available if required.
Garden restoration
Over time, even the finest established landscapes can become overgrown, obscuring their original character and form. As well as creating new spaces, I provide garden restoration advice and skilled shrub pruning for period properties in Devon. Combining horticultural knowledge with a designer’s eye, I advise on carefully re-working the garden to bring back definition and clarity to the original layout.
